It is a wonderful feeling to behold these beautiful earth houses above the Lake Balaton landscape. It offers such a profound connection with nature that completely captivates one in just a few days.

Antal Grátz, a prominent practitioner of organic architecture, designed these Balatonendréd cottages, which were among the first of their kind in Hungary when the owner built them in 1993.
 

The earth house is cool in summer and pleasantly warm in winter, offering a truly nature-close experience with solid structural foundations. 

With a gallery living room, 2 bedrooms, a kitchen, a bathroom, a sauna, a plunge tub, and a Wi-Fi enabled fireplace, the house can accommodate up to 20 people. Additional guests can be accommodated on the property in tents or on beds in the wooden house.  

The earth house currently operates as guest accommodation and children’s camps, with full occupancy from May to September. Please consider this when scheduling an appointment.  

The plot is 8575 m², classified as a private garden, offering a beautiful panorama of Lake Balaton and the forests and hills of the southern shore. The gross size of the earth house is 168 square meters. The property features a lookout tower, a canopy walkway, a wooden house, a wooden play castle, an area for horses and wild animals, terraces, and gazebos.  

There are numerous opportunities for further development of the property, but in its current state, it is immediately usable upon acquisition, either combining its functions or as a permanent holiday home, for business purposes, or as a private residence.
